In want of some inspiration

"For this exercise, I would like you to rewrite the first sentence of Pride and Prejudice---



--as a heroic couplet in the vein of Alexander Pope. A heroic couplet, once again, is a rhymed unit of two lines in iambic pentameter. Trying to preserve its own wit while keeping the sentiment intact, please turn Austen's first sentence into a Pope-like heroic couplet."
